Magdalen
Boyd-Wilson is originally from England and Scotland, and lived
in cities around the world including Toronto, Hong Kong and
New York.
Coming
from a family of artists, with a father who is a landscape painter,
she was exposed to Fine Art from a young age. Prior to college
she trained in classical still life painting, portraiture and
landscapes.
She
received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Parson’s School
of Design in New York City, and majored in Sculpture and Painting.

Magdalen
later moved to San Diego, California in 1990 where she continued
her education by studying Architectural Design and Drafting.
She
worked with organic architect and sculptor James Hubbell for
5 years and gained further experience with metal and wood work,
mosaic, architectural drafting, designing, model building
and more.

For
the past 15 years Magdalen has been working as an Artist and
Designer in Southern California developing many areas of creative
work. These include faux finishing, artistic design work, Mandalas,
sculptural lighting and fire art, sacred spaces, interior design
and architectural design.
Drawing
her artistic inspiration from ancient design work and the natural
world, she transforms living spaces into works of art bringing
life, originality and elegance into homes and businesses, throughout
Southern California and Europe.
